For most people, laser-assisted hair removal produces longer-lasting and more satisfying results than shaving, waxing, tweezing, or chemical depilation. Pigmented (dark) hair can be removed from any part of the face or body through laser-assisted hair removal. The hair removal laser can work on virtually any area of the body, including under the arms, bikini, legs, face, chest, and back. All skin types (light and dark) can be treated, but light (gray, white, blonde) hair does not generally respond to laser treatment. Laser treatment should only be delivered when skin has not been exposed to ultraviolet (sun) light nor treated with self-tanners in order to reduce the risk of side effects.
