Vascular Laser

The vascular-specific laser is a laser treatment that can be used to treat a wide range of concerns, including angiomas, hemangiomas, port-wine stains, rosacea, scars, and spider veins. The selective vascular systems includes the pulsed dye (PDL), V Beam, YAG, and Cynergy lasers.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does it work?

The vascular-specific laser targets the microscopic vessels that produce skin redness. The areas of redness are subjected to a series of laser pulses that penetrate the outer layer of the skin and blood vessel walls to incinerate the red blood cells and thus destroy the vessels from the inside out.

When will I see results?

It will take 1-2 months to attain the full effect from a vascular-specific laser treatment, depending on the area treated. A series of vascular-specific laser treatments is generally recommended for optimal results.

Is there a recovery period?

Treated areas can remain pink or purple and swollen for several hours after treatment and may sometimes bruise.

Who performs the treatment?

Dr. Tina Alster and Dr. Neelam Khan (Board-Certified Dermatologists).
